1. Drill holes for tuners
2. Match sides and saw off excess
3. Cut side grooves on heel
4. Plane top of heel
5. Create bottom block for joining sides
6. Dry fit sides and neck with bottom block, adjust if needed, and finally glue.
7. Shape bridge

1. Trim excess head veneer with microsaw
2. Cut neck to length
3. Shape head
4. Construct heel using excess wood from neck
5. Route out the groove for the rosette and chisel to the round shape

The guitar I decide to build is a classic Dreadknot. The woods used are Sitka Spruce for the soundboard, Indian Rosewood for the sides, back and fretboard, and finally Mahogany for the neck. Bone is used for the nut and saddle. The bridge and head piece is also made from Indian rosewood.
